Know before you go: Get advice from experts and travellers

MySafari.com is an online community of travellers to Africa and those with a passion for African travel. A place for sharing tips, opinions, experiences and practical knowledge of Africa – its wild places, incredible wildlife, beautiful beaches, unique cultures and vibrant cities.

Use MySafari to gather general destination knowledge, travel tips and inspiration for your next African adventure. Find out what other travellers enjoyed (or didn’t enjoy) by reading their Safari Journals, or discover local secrets and hidden gems in our African Blogs. Want to know something specific? Ask the community in the Discussion Forum.

And don’t forget to give back to the community when you return from your safari; it is such a rewarding way to relive your incredible memories and share your knowledge with others.

MySafari is not a commercial venture, and no one is in it to make money. Instead we subscribe to the African concept of Ubuntu  -  sharing and assisting each other for the benefit of the whole community .

The MySafari Community:

The MySafari community is an inclusive one. Anyone and everyone with an interest in African travel may participate; whether you are a traveller, resident or work in the African travel industry. We believe that by being open and honest about who is giving advice MySafari can provide you with a fully rounded view of African travel.

Everyone has something to offer the MySafari community; by asking the question that other people have been wondering about; by sharing your own experiences of travelling in Africa or by answering a specific question asked by another user.

User Profiles:

We encourage all of our users to fill in their personal profile page with as much information as possible so that other users can get a feel for where you are from and where you are going; your travel style and African travel experience. This will enable others to give you advice best suited to you.

Certain users have been selected by MySafari and highlighted as Experts because of their knowledge and passion for a particular African destination. These Experts may be Experts on the Ground, Professional Experts or Traveller Experts and they are there to provide friendly and helpful advice on those areas they know and love. So look out for them when you are browsing the site.
