A Botswana safari offers travellers truly
amazing and diverse experiences in pristine environments. Botswana is a
land locked country, dominated in geographical terms by the Kalahari Desert,
however it is probably more famous for its safari tours in the spectacular
inland Okavango Delta.
Our tours explore the fascinating deserts, wetlands, savannas, the delta
and wildlife-packed game reserves of one of the wildest regions in Africa.
Botswana is a sparsely populated country and is backed by a stable, democratic
government. It is often described as 'Africa 's success story' since its
independence in 1966, and it continues to achieve growth and economic development

This is one of our six night tours
that we feel offers an excellent range of activities and experiences.
Spend two nights at Victoria Falls and enjoy a tour of the falls,
an African dancing display and a sunset Zambezi cruise. From here,
transfer for two nights at Chobe in Bostwana, where the activities
include excellent birding and game viewing by open safari vehicle
and small river craft. Finally, spend two nights at Nxabega in the
heart of the Okavango Delta. Here you can pass the time exploring
the Okavango by canoe and small river craft, bird-watching, fishing
or taking nature walks accompanied by professional guides. |

One of our high-end "camping"
tours through the wildlife hotspots of Botswana, ending off at Victoria
Falls.
It offers a combination of cross-country drives and light aircraft
transfers to enable guests access to some of the best areas of northern
Botswana. Accommodation is in a pre-erected tented camp in the Chobe
River area; and small, permanent tented camps in the Okavango Delta
and Linyanti that are booked exclusively for groups travelling on
this tour. A unique feature of this tour is that many nights are spent
in private concessions far from others, in superb game country, where
night drives and off-road driving are permitted. A guide accompanies
guests throughout their safari. |

Chief’s Camp is situated
on the north-western tip of Chief’s Island in the Mombo concession,
an area of Botswana renowned for its abundance of wildlife. Nestled
under a canopy of mature Jackalberry, Sausage and Rain trees Chief's
Camp boasts twelve twin bedded safari tents on stilts. Earthy tones
and natural textured fibres provide a contemporary African feel to
the Chief's Camp tents all of which have an over head fan, en-suite
facilities and a viewing deck. Overlooking the seasonal Piajio Channel
the public area is under thatch and consists of a dining room, bar,
lounge, reference library, swimming pool and sun deck. |
