A bit more about me:

I was born in Pretoria but lived near the Kruger National Park for about 2 years until Cape Town became my home. How could anyone not live near the sea or this amazing mountain they call Table Mountain. I have a wonderful family consisting of my Mom (Moya), Dad (Stephen) and Stepdad (Rory) and of coarse my 2 older brothers (Sean & Matthew) and my little sister (Teresa).

I grew up in a very private lifestyle living in the Airforce Base Ysterplaat where security knew your every move and aeroplanes are the most important thing ever invented and helicopter flips and short flights become the done thing.

I always thought I would one day go into the Airforce as most of my family did but my dreams just weren't that simple. I always wanted to do Events Co-ordinating, but somehow tourism stole my heart and became all I spoke about... so after realising my drive and passion was tourism I ate, slept and drank tourism pushing through the long hours of studies to complete my 2 year diploma coarse at Northlink College Tygerberg Campus. I loved every minute of student life!!

In November 2009 a new chapter of my life started where Go2Africa took me under their wing. I was a Personal Travel Assistant for Cape Town Travel and Indian Ocean Islands departments. BUT.... recently I have been let lose in the East Africa department where learning about the migration and tented camps is my everyday life.

My all time passion in life is Netball, I have been playing since I was just a wee little Shelley. Now currently I am playing netball for Western Province and loving each and every day of it.

I love going out with friends and discovering new places such as restaurants and shopping malls. Movies are also an all time favourite but just hanging with the family and getting up to mischief is just as fun!!
